Weekly Update, and Some Other Stuff

Hey everyone.

Late blog post I know, what I think I'll do first is recap last Sundays show, then I'll go into some other stuff.

We had our first taste of live music in a long while last week, DarwinTomorrow came onto the broadcast and played for a while. He did a show on blogtv for a while, we met him back during one of the Free the Weed 24 hour events last summer, and man-o-man is this guy good. He plays some of the best slide blues I have ever heard, right now I'm kinda kicking myself for not recording at least a portion of the show when he was on. I'm sure he'll be back on the show, I'll have to remember to nag him JUST A BIT to bring him on.

Next item, Deb from the Unsigned Musicians show and I are planning another event, this one will simply be about the music, we won't be promoting a cause this time out. It'll be called, appropriately enough "MusicFest 2010". We decided that it was time to have an event and just focus on the music. Another one of our goals is to bring musicians to this event that at least our regular crowd might not have seen or heard. In the past we've had musicians that we, as well as the regular crowd knew (and loved) be a part of these events, and these folks did a great job bringing people in and helping out. We've really had alot of fun, as well as some awesome music at the previous events, and there are a few that we are going to ask for an encore performance but what we're really trying to do is bring some of the lesser known musicians of blogtv, as well as some folks on youtube that we've gotten to know over the last year, a musician that Deb and I interviewed on the old blogtalkradio show,(stop by Sunday if ya would like to know who) basically some new faces that we haven't had at the previous events. We already know this one is going to be awesome, and it kicks off at 12 noon (eastern US time)on June 12th and we hope you'll join us.
